Not yet.

We patiently wait for that moment to reach us. We know that it’s coming. We know it’s going to move us. It’s going to bring something unknown with it. A lifetime maybe- a lifetime we haven't been acquainted with. Not yet. We wait for that ‘something’ we’ve never known. We long for that feeling of being unreal for a moment.

It comes. It feels surreal. More than real. And then it goes. It passes just as quickly as it comes. Not staying a moment longer, leaving a lifetime of thinking for us. A thinking that we know we are not ready for. Not yet.

That was special.
.
We cannot describe what happens in that moment. Not because there aren’t enough words, but because there isn’t enough time. Everything happens so fast that by the time we realize that we are actually there in the moment, it slips away. A million different thoughts grab us and shake us and they leave behind their mark. In that one moment we try to make sense of it all when we know that we probably can not.

We still stand there, feeling amused and amazed that we failed to understand a simple moment. Wondering whether we will ever be able to make sense of a lifetime. We know that there will be a lot more coming. But we also know that it’ll never be the same again. That was special.

Some other time.
.
We eagerly wait for another one to reach us. We feel that now we know what to expect, what to do, how and when. The last one has taught us something that we never knew we needed to learn. This one would be better, we promise ourselves. We feel ready, we feel that we can do this, without getting overwhelmed. We can get something more from this one. We just need to focus.

The next one comes. It feels surreal. More real than the last one. And then it goes, again. It passes just as quickly as the other one. Not staying a moment longer, leaving another lifetime of thinking for us. A thinking that we now know we will have to do later. Some other time.
