.
Ariston Letrero is a renaissance man who quickly and quietly abandons his wife and son, Lucas, for a new life in America. Years and years later, he sends an email to Lucas, an advertising man who has been brought up on super robot cartoons, Catholic school truisms, and a diet of fast food and loneliness. Joy is a story lived forward, backward, sideways, and upside down, in lives and loves that are fragmented, separated, gathered, made virtual, and made real.

Working on Joy was a challenge. How do you show all the different relationships people have with Joy!? There's no one way to get to Joy. For this reason, I decided to indulge myself in interpreting what all Joy could be. Joy with laughter, hope, ecstasy contrasted with a pinch of sorrows and struggles that only make the presence of Joy more meaningful!
